Autumn transforms the woodland floor into a world of tiny wonders. Join me on a photographic walk in search of mushrooms, fascinating fungi and the small details that are so easily overlooked.
Armed with my macro photography equipment, I explore the woodland floor, discovering the shapes, textures and colours hidden beneath our feet. It's a reminder that sometimes the smallest subjects can be the most rewarding to photograph.
A woodland adventure celebrating autumn, photography and the beauty of looking a little closer.
Behind The Film
Finding fungi is one thing; photographing them is another. Getting down to ground level, working with tiny subjects and making the most of whatever light the woodland offers can turn a simple walk into a real photographic challenge.
For this film, the aim was to slow down, explore the woodland floor and look beyond the obvious. Macro photography encourages you to notice details you might otherwise walk straight past, revealing another world hidden among the leaves and moss.
Sometimes the best discoveries are the ones you weren't expecting.
